Welcome to Sendivo. By using our app or website, you agree to these terms.

1. About Sendivo

Sendivo is a peer-to-peer platform connecting senders with couriers (travelers). We facilitate the connection — we are not a shipping carrier, postal service, or logistics company. Couriers are independent individuals, not Sendivo employees.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts. You must provide accurate registration information.

3. User Roles

Senders post delivery requests with pickup/dropoff locations and item descriptions. Couriers bid on requests and carry items on their existing trips.

4. Prohibited Items

You may not ship:

• Illegal drugs or controlled substances
• Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, or fireworks
• Hazardous materials, including flammable liquids or gases, corrosives, toxic chemicals, aerosols, and loose lithium batteries
• Cash, currency, gift cards, or other monetary instruments
• Counterfeit, smuggled, or stolen goods
• Live animals, human remains, or biological and medical samples
• Child-exploitation material or other illegal media
• Goods subject to sanctions or export bans, and endangered-species (CITES) products
• Prescription medication or regulated pharmaceuticals
• Commercial quantities of alcohol or tobacco
• Any item prohibited by applicable law

Only send a parcel that you packed yourself and can fully and accurately describe. Do not accept or send sealed packages whose contents are unknown to you.

Senders are solely responsible for ensuring items comply with all applicable laws, including customs regulations for cross-border deliveries.

5. Payments & Escrow

Payments are processed through Stripe. When a sender accepts a bid:

• Funds are authorized (held) on the sender's payment method
• Funds are captured (charged) only after successful delivery confirmation
• Platform fee and protection fee are deducted from the total
• Courier reward is the remaining amount

6. Platform Protection

Sendivo provides a self-funded protection of up to €50 per shipment. This is not insurance. It covers verified losses or damages where photo proof and PIN verification confirm the issue. Claims must be filed within 48 hours of delivery.

7. PIN Handoff

Each delivery has unique pickup and dropoff PIN codes. These must be exchanged during physical handoff. Sharing PINs confirms possession transfer. Sendivo is not liable for deliveries where PINs were exchanged correctly.

8. Ratings

Both senders and couriers can rate each other after delivery. Ratings are public. Users with consistently low ratings may have their accounts suspended.

9. Community Standards & User Content

Messages, photos, item descriptions, profile details and reviews you post are your responsibility. Sendivo has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post or send content that is offensive, harassing, threatening, sexual, hateful, discriminatory, fraudulent, or that offers or requests prohibited items.

• Report: use the ⋯ menu in a chat or on a profile to report a user. We review every report within 24 hours and remove offending content.
• Block: the same menu blocks a user. Blocked users can't message you, make offers on your requests, or see your requests.
• We remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or permanently ban the users who post it.

10. Cancellations

Senders may cancel a request before courier pickup. After pickup, cancellation is not guaranteed. Failed or returned deliveries may result in partial refunds at Sendivo's discretion.

11. Liability

Sendivo is a platform provider. We are not liable for:

• Items lost, damaged, or delayed during transit
• Actions of couriers or senders
• Customs issues or border-related problems
• Losses exceeding the €50 platform protection

12. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or receive repeated low ratings. You may delete your account at any time via the app.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Zurich.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of Sendivo after changes constitutes acceptance.
